Stay at Bittner Manor

Exclusive use of Bittner Manor and nearly two acres of private grounds. Six bedrooms with nine beds sleep sixteen. Four bathrooms. A chef’s kitchen. Fireplaces inside and out. The hot tub holds six to eight. 10 minutes from Stratford. 20 minutes to Wildwood Conservation Area. 40 minutes to Bayfield's beaches on Lake Huron.

Check-in 3:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.. Checkout before 12:00 p.m.. Parking for up to 9 vehicles. Up to two dogs when included in your reservation.

House rules

  1. Up to 2 dogs, only if they're on the booking. Undeclared pets: C$400 extra cleaning charge.
  2. No smoking indoors or in the garage. Evidence of smoking: C$400 extra cleaning charge.
  3. No parties or events unless your hosts approve them in advance. No unregistered visitors; every guest is named on the booking.
  4. No air mattresses.
  5. The basement, workshop, loft and third garage bay are private and off limits.

Exclusive use of the whole house for up to 16 guests. Check-in 3:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., check-out before 12:00 p.m.. The guest making the booking must be 19 or older.

  1. This is a booking request, not an instant booking.
  2. Your card is held for the full stay, cleaning, any pet fee, 13% HST and a C$1,000 refundable damage deposit.
  3. You're only charged if your hosts accept your request. If they decline, the hold is released.
  4. You'll hear back within 24 hours.
  5. The C$1,000 damage deposit is refunded after checkout once the house has been checked.
  6. The guest making the booking must be 19 or older, and every guest staying must be named on the request.
  7. Cancellation: full refund if you cancel 30 days or more before check-in. No refund if you cancel less than 30 days before check-in.

Kitchen and common rooms

A fully equipped gourmet kitchen for home-cooked meals, catered dinners, or a private chef. The living room is built for a fire and a long conversation. The dining room seats the house. Board games live in the hallway hutch. Music through the Bluetooth speaker and a Spotify iPad.

Where you sleep

Main-floor master: gas fireplace, ensuite with clawfoot soaker, double-head shower, double vanity, heated floors. Upstairs suite with a private ensuite. Air mattresses, sleeping bags, and additional temporary sleeping arrangements are not permitted. All overnight guests must use the beds provided within the manor.

Gardens and fire

Nearly two acres of manicured gardens, an orchard, hammocks under the cherry tree, outdoor BBQ, and a fire pit with a starter supply of wood and blankets. The historic smokehouse has its own fireplace. The outdoor hot tub holds six to eight.
